Restorative Yoga for Tired People and Spoonies
Gentle, restorative yoga classes designed for people who experience chronic fatigue
My classes are a combination of Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga poses and principles, to allow you to gently stretch and move your body in a way that feels good and allows for relaxation, without pushing yourself into a flare.
I’m Klaus, and I’m a yoga and meditation teacher based in Worthing, West Sussex UK.
I’m passionate about using gentle exercise and meditation techniques that help people feel good in their bodies without pushing into fatigue, pain or flares.
I have Chronic Fatigue (M.E), Hashimoto’s disease and Fibromyalgia, and began training in yoga more seriously when my own health worsened, and I wanted to find a way to keep active without hurting myself.
I trained in traditional Hatha, Astanga and Yin Yoga at an Indian yoga school in Bali, Indonesia. I learnt breath work, movement, philosophy and other traditional techniques to improve physical and mental health.
What is ‘restorative yoga’?
01 / Gentle and restorative yoga for Chronic Fatigue
Rather than focusing on fitness or achievement, these classes encourage mindful pacing and self-compassion. You'll develop a greater awareness of your body's signals, helping you build a sustainable practice that supports your wellbeing while respecting your energy envelope.
02 / Move at the pace your body needs
Living with chronic fatigue means learning to listen to your body. These gentle restorative yoga classes are designed to honour your energy levels, offering a calm, supportive space where rest is just as valuable as movement. Every posture can be adapted, allowing you to practise without pressure or expectation.
03 / Pacing-friendly yoga
Restorative yoga uses comfortable, fully supported postures that encourage your body to release unnecessary tension. By slowing down and settling into stillness, many students experience a sense of calm that can be difficult to find in everyday life. The practice offers an opportunity to recharge without pushing beyond your limits.

Yoga is a fantastic exercise that can help strengthen your body and lessen symptoms of many chronic health conditions, but only is approached carefully.

Chronic fatigue can leave your nervous system feeling overwhelmed. Through slow breathing, mindful awareness, and restful poses, restorative yoga encourages your body to shift into a state of relaxation. Many people find this helps them feel more grounded, settled, and connected to themselves.
The scientific evidence available is promising rather than concrete right now, but yoga has been studied in people with chronic fatigue syndrome (M.E), and researchers found that there was both a reduction in fatigue and pain, but only if the yoga was adapted to the person's energy limits to avoid triggering exertion malaise (PEM).

No previous yoga experience is needed- all poses are gentle and adaptable for each person.
Whereas more aerobic yoga can be fast and tiring, restorative, yin style yoga is soft, gentle and aims to gently stretch the body and relax your muscles.

Yes! You can participate in any poses you want to try, but equally you can rest as much as you want.
In a world that often celebrates doing more, restorative yoga offers something different: permission to slow down. Each class is an invitation to pause, breathe deeply, and discover that rest can be a powerful part of healing and self-care.
Class takes place in Worthing, UK.
